I really like this restaurant. I had a gift certificate. We came for dinner and we were seated promptly by the friendly hostess. Our waitress was very nice. She recommended a few dishes and quickly got our drink orders and appetizers. We had the Fried Green tomatoes which I LOVED. Very crisp and fresh! The seasonings were very flavorful. I wanted more. For dinner I ordered the prime rib, medium, with broccoli and a side of macaroni and cheese. It was cooked perfectly. The broccoli was firm not mushy and the mac & cheese... YUM YUM! We didn't have room for dessert but they looked really good. I usually go to Outback for steaks, now I have another choice. I would definitely come back. Good food and good service. I'm also happy there is one close to my home, the Delray Beach location. I hope it's just as good as this LongHorn.

Acceptable. Not better than outback. Prices a bit more also. Had to send steak back - asked for medium well came out medium rare. Very disappointed - heard nice things. Oh well there is always outback! Service was great though!

Always fresh and hot. Our waiter Matthew is exceptionally pleasant each time we visit. We have ordered the filet most visits and each time it was cooked exactly to order. Thank you, Kathryn Marino

I'll make this one simple. - Arrived with a party of 8 - we waited over 30 minutes to be seated. That's fine, it was a busy Friday evening. - Waitress was excellent; very sweet, accommodating, had our orders all correct and out together on-time. - Food was good for what it was - fried green tomatoes were GREAT, even for the picky eaters in our group. - Liquor selection/cocktails were pretty good - I had a drink with Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey, blueberry lemonade, and ginger ale... tasty! In the end, we had to wait quite a while for our check. There was a mix-up with the checks and another table, too, so we were sitting around looking for the waitress to correct this issue. No fault to her, we understood it was busy. Overall, good service and edible food. Can't say I want to go back, because it was pretty heavy/greasy/fried stuff, but I'd return if someone offered to pay. :)

It was an alright experience. The French onion soup was delicious and the Texas tonion. But the steaks, for being a steakhouse were not great. Barely a sear on one of the steaks and the temperature of them were wrong. To get a dream asked for med well and get half med well and have med rare, there's a problem. The staff was friendly and helped when needed to fix something. So other than the steaks everything was good.

Not much has changed in the years I haven't been here. Steaks are still good especially the Filet, appetizers and soups still too salty. Service is slow and there's normally a long wait. Bar drinks are good and so are deserts. I'm guessing I will give them a few more years and try again.

We just recently started coming back here and are not disappointed the food was delicious and the service was fast friendly and on top of things. We didn't have to ask for refills, my glass was never empty.

We went to celebrate our Granddaughters 3rd Birthday. It must have been an off night. The food was prepared horribly . Our Grandsons Cheese burger was like a brick burnt beyond recognition un eatable also without cheese. My Wife ordered Surf and Turf Steak Medium . The Steak was also burnt beyond recognition. The Mac and Cheese for The Birthday Girl was cold. Needless to say they really did a poor job. If you want you can try them out but I would not.

I had lunch here with a friend and my daughter on Friday. The service was slow and the food was sub par. We ordered the spinach dip as an appetizer and the dip itself had a terrible taste and the chips had way too much seasoning on them especially the pepper. We also had the Parmesan crusted asparagus which was ok. I had the firecracker chicken wraps and the were not crispy like they should be. They remade them and they were somehow worse. My friend had the Wild West shrimp which she said was ok. My daughters grilled cheese was over cooked.

Take out !!! Called in and was promised to be ready for pick up at 5:10pm Bartender approached; she said the girl that takes care of take out will be with you. She approached, asked for the name, walked away and never returned. At 5:25, I told the bartender I've been waiting too long, she again says she will get the take out person, another girl approached asked the name and then returned with the food! I asked what happen to the first girl, she's busy, she is in charge of take out. Really? She needs fired!! Never again!

Good food, friendly wait staff. They were a little slow - but then we did have a large party. All in all - it was a good meal. I had half sandwich and soup - the new mushroom soup is awesome. Hamburgers are stable, salmon is super. Prime rib was really good too. And the fries - oh the fries! Nice time out.

All I can say is Ewwww!!! This was my first time eating there. The place smells like it hasn't been cleaned in months. The food was ok. The waitress was friendly but never refilled our glasses with water. The restrooms are GROSS. They need to rip out that carpet and deep clean that place. Not big at all. I should've just gone to Outback :(

The first time I went to a Longhorn was maybe in the early 2000's and the experience was not memorable so I never returned..... That was until I attended a Yelp event last October at the Longhorn in Delray. I was so impressed with the food, service and menu selection that I went back right away with a group. I've now become a regular at this particular Longhorn. Service is always above average and the food is consistently good. I like that although they have amazing steaks they offer something for everyone. The seasonal salads are always fresh and colorful and the burgers never disappoint. Save room for dessert! I know it can be hard but the brownie sundae is divine and the warm apple crumble...Mmmmmmm! You'll wanna lick the bowl clean! If you sign up on their website to receive promotional e mails you will surely find a reason to make a trip over. They offer free appetizers, discounts and let you know when the menu is changing for the season. I really like that they switch the dishes up a bit. This location is always busy so I recommend calling ahead and putting you name on the wait list before you leave the house.

I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants but I went to a yelp event at the Longhorns in Delray. I really enjoyed everything I had at the event so I decided to go to the Boynton location and order the items from the event. I'm not much of a steak eater but the sirloin I had at the event was fantastic. It was juicy, tender and cooked to perfection. So when I ordered it here, it was smaller, had a lot of chewy pieces and not cooked the way I had it before. They have some good dishes but I find this chain restaurant to be overpriced for what it is. The chocolate cake they have here which is served with ice cream is like crack. It's freaking delicious and might be the best chocolate cake ever!

Not so great, I had the Parmesan crusted chicken. I really thought it was going to be like chicken Parmesan. Unfortunately I was wrong. It was mayonnaise globed onto a fried piece of chicken. It tasted rotten. I really wasn't happy. The best part about this place is the bread.

Place smells weird noticed it immediately. Seat at booth wet and sticky, had to clean it myself while two wait staff watched and offered no help or apology. No champagne for mimosa? , out of prime rib at 7pm on Monday!??, . 6 oz dinky filet had to be sent back, ordered ceasar salad, dressing tasted nothing like caesar dressing and croutons were hard, stale and most probably right out of the box. The bread was good but one little cube of butter which they never bothered to add more for the rest of thr loaf. Servers seemed bored and "put off" when you asked for thingss you shouldn't have to ask for. Disgusting, will never be back, I'm sure the old people love this place, consider yourself warned.

The food is good but expensive. The problem is the wait is always an hour or MORE, even when you call ahead. The wait is so long sometimes it makes you not even want to go there. Plenty of other choices around.

The food here was good but sadly that was all that was good. The hostess staff is clueless, if I hadn't gotten up after sitting at the table for ten minutes with no menus who knows how long we would have waited for them to give us menus. We both ordered steaks which were good and came out nice and hot but at the end of the meal our waitress forgot about us. We finally had enough of sitting and waiting for her to come and get our payment so we went to the front to pay so we could go home. I would go to Longhorn again because the food was good, but I will not be going back to this particular location.

Longhorn is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always fresh and taste. The restaurant is nicely decorated and not noisy. Deserts are really over the top, especially the chocolate cake with ice cream and fudge topping. My review was 5 stars but now I am dropping it to 3 stars. The food is still fine. Not a problem. We went there late last week Friday. Asked for a booth was told there were none available I asked about a booth that was not cleared off and no one was sitting at the booth, I was told they were still using the booth. Really where were the people? Under the table? In the bath room? Well no one ever came back to that booth and I also noted that there were 2 other empty booths on the same isle. This is the isle right behind where the hostess stands. No it's not a case that they were super busy it is only 4:45 pm on Friday afternoon. No customers waiting in the lobby, etc, Just a matter of being too lazy to ask someone to clean the table off. Like I said there were also 2 other booths empty on the same isle that they gave to other customers over the next 15 minutes! One other time when we went there they wanted to know if we wanted to sit at a high top in the bar section when there were still plenty of tables and booths in the restaurant. If I wanted to sit at a high top I would have gone to a sports bar!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!! RUDE, DIRTY, BAD ATTITUDE, THE MANAGER NEEDS TO BE FIRED!!!!! This was our 2nd time at LONGHORN STEAKHOUSE IN BOYNTON BEACH, & OUR LAST! This past month it was my husbands birthday & we were a party of six. We asked for a booth bc of our service dog (only 5lbs in his bag) So they made us wait 40 minutes for our table in the corner, which was fine. But Once we sat down, we got our drink order taken by a very rushed waitress & It took another 30-40 minutes to take our food order, we all ordered steaks, as we sit (already been there for 2 hours in the establishment) The Manager walks over & She says you cant have your service dog!?!?!!!!! EXCUSE ME!!!! Do you even know the purpose of a service dog????? It's Against the Law by the American Disabilities Act to not allow a service dog.... In fact he has gone with us previously to THIS Long Horns & on Top of that she was rude, disrespectful, unaccommodating & an Embarrassment! I WOULD NEVER GO BACK INTO A RESTAURANT THAT TREATS US LIKE THAT!!!!!!!!!!! (NOR WOULD I ALLOW FRIENDS OR FAMILY EITHER.) This is the 1st restaurant that has ever turned us away in all the years we've had him. The food isn't even that good to begin with BUT the Customer Service was Non-Existent. I would not be surprised if they shut down in the future. On a side note: We left to go to another restaurant (down the street) & they were more than RESPECTFUL, COURTEOUS, ACCOMMODATING.... in fact brought us a bowl of water for our lil one (which is what all restaurants have done for us)!

Went here with parents and daughter. We had appetizers-mushrooms and the fried shrimp. Mushrooms had lots of melted cheese. Both were good but mushrooms were better. Far too much food but that's a god thing. We had a coupon for the appetizer but appetizers are too much food. We had the filet and the sirloin. Both were good. They were perfectly cooked

Had the best server ever! From the drinks, apps to the best sirlion cooked to peerfection (PITTSBURG) the whole dinning experience was one to return to again and again

I ordered the streak with Portobello mushroom, sweet potato and house salad. The streak was cooked as ordered but I was disappointed there was only ONE smal mushroom. They charged extra for that and tho it was tasty it was not worth it and misleading.

We went here today for lunch. The food was delicious and the staff worked together so nicely to give the customers a great experience. I really enjoyed the Parmesan crusted chicken, it was a plentiful dish considering that it was a lunch portion.

Sunday night dinner. Called ahead an hour before (no reservations taken). Arrived at 8:30. Ordered Blackberry Firefly drink and Passion fruit martini at 8:45 Ordered food at 8:45 as well. 9:30--still no dinner... its cool, there are a few large parties, let it slide. Drinks-underwhelmed. Not worth the $8.00 price tag. Apps. Sweet Calamari- decent but not memorable. Dinner. Steak--definitely said medium well and got a well done.. too tough for my liking. Sweet potato was good though. $50 price tag...not so much.

Had an early dinner here. We were seated very quickly and offered both the lunch and dinner menu by our hostess. Our waiter, Mathew, was very good and personable. He checked on us frequently, not only to see if we needed anything, but to make sure our food was good as well. I had the prime rib, it was delicious and tender. My wife had the spinach-feta chicken, which she loved. So not only was the food great, but Mathew made our experience even better!

We went here Saturday night so this review is being written a few days late. But I felt it was necessary.. Let me start its the middle of tourist (snowbird) season, so the fact that we waited an hour for a table is really not unreasonable. The waiter Rob M is worth his weight in gold. Attentive, pleasant and goes out of his way to please. Good was cooked perfectly. Now TOTAL 5 STAR praises to Rob and his manager.. There were 2 women sitting across from us.. One ordered a glass of wine and a house salad..seemed a little strange until we saw what happen next. Second woman orders a NY STRIP she cuts into it 3-4 times, gives her friend several pieces and THEN decides it wasn't cooked right and sends it back .. They re fire another steak .. She does the SAME thing and sends it back.. Steak#3 arrived.. You guessed it again sends it back.. The manager was involved after the first return .. Not offers her something different . She ordered a hamburger .. Friend eats half she ate a few bite and YUP wants to return it.. Kudos to the manager told them there was no way he could please them.. That he would comp EVERYTHING and politely asked them to leave.. Personally I would have thrown them out after steak #2 and have charged them for the wine .. But that's me. The patience and tolerance the Manger and waiter displayed was exemplary.

Food was GREAT when we finally got it a solid hour after ordering. We called ahead for seating (they don't do reservations but they will let you call ahead an hour in advance....for something like a reservation). Happy hour is awesomely cheap and we utilized that while waiting the fifteen minutes for our table (everyone else who just walked in waited about an hour). We found out that they DON'T charge a corking fee and that you CAN byow(wine)..... server was pleasant. Only complaint was the time frame we waited on food.

The Lone Star is an excellent steakhouse. When visiting my mom in Boynton , it's always time for The Lone Star. I'm always a sucker for the large cut of prime rib with potato and a salad. Got to get it rare and bloody. OMG. This is so good. Next time got to go for the porterhouse or filet. Can't wait.

Came here on Monday.. And honestly did not like my ribeye, the meat was tough, and had a weird after taste and me and my wife spent $40 but felt ripped off because it didn't match with quality food.. Never coming here again I'll just cook my own ribeye.

For a chain joint this place is awesome. Still love the fried shrimp..They no longer have the jalapeño cole slaw though which makes me kinda sad! Tried the loaded potato as my side instead of the fries for a change and it was really good.

Longhorn is a solid low-end chain restaurant. I actually prefer this over say Fridays, Chilli's, Applebees, Outback or ___________. Nothing is outstanding, but for a quick bite it's really not bad. Their bread is awesome, right below Cheesecake Factory for the best chain bread. They have a great lunch combo where you can get French onion soup with a choice of a sandwich. It's a steal for under $7.99. I don't typically come here for dinner, but if I were to, their salmon is a wise choice. For an app, you may want to go for the Texas tonion, which is their version of the bloomin' onion with less grease. Service is usually good and really the only downfall is that they blast country music continuously.

We went to this restaurant last night to celebrate my son's birthday. I was a little wary, to be honest, because nothing could be as good as "Outback".... right? WRONG!!! The wait staff were really, really great! The food was unbelievable!!! I don't know who they have as Chefs, but I have to say never let them go!!!! Every single thing was cooked to PERFECTION! The pork chops were so juicy and the steaks cooked so perfectly, you practically didn't even have to chew! Their baked mac 'n cheese is incredible! I absolutely loathe macaroni & cheese, but honestly, I could have eaten an entire plate, it's so good! I HIGHLY recommend this place! Honestly, one of the most delicious and pleasant meals I've had in too long of a time!

Waited 40 minutes to be seated on a Thursday night (got there at 6:45 p.m., didn't get seated until 7:25); once we sat down, we got our drink order taken by a very rushed and harried waitress, who barely waited for us to get the words out of our mouths, and she was off and running! We got the sloppiest salad I've ever had in a restaurant, and then waited another hour (8:25) for our porterhouse steak for two to be done. That was great, but still not worth the 2 hours waiting in total that we had to suffer through. First and last time we'll be coming here. Always wondered why there was always a long line there, and now I know...they've been waiting there from the day before!

We made our first appearance and I was impressed with our dinner. The waitress was very attentive and we admired that. The Flo's filet was delish. I forgot to ask for the cheese topping, so my hubby gave me some of his. I know a lot of restaurants don't like the customers that say well done, but hey, that's the way I like it. They cooked the 7 oz. and seasoned it perfectly. Of course, I can't forget about the loaded baked potato topped with sour cream, bacon, and cheese. Mmmmm. It was a lovely date night out!

My husband and I had a great meal at the Longhorn in Boynton Beach. This was our first experience at this location. We arrived at 5:15 and the parking lot was full so I knew the food had to be good. Well, we weren't disappointed. It was Happy Hour and we had a drink and then ordered our meals. We had the Special Steak Dinner for $11.95 and it was as good as it gets. Our waitress completed the picture as she was very pleasant and attentive. I wish I had gotten her name. All in all it was a nice night and we went home happy. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and location.

Steaks were good. Mine was cooked wrong at first. My rice pilaf was extraordinarily salty. Our server was helpful but a bit full of himself. Overall, our experience was decent, and we most likely would go back again.

I'm usually not a big fan of chain restaurants but I really liked the food here. We all had one of the steak dinners and they were all cooked as requested, but a little on the small side. The appetizers were tasty as well and we took advantage of their drink specials. I will return.

There are plenty of Longhorns around to make it a convenient place to go for a nice dinner out. It is a reasonably priced place so that you can take the whole family. I frequent the Boynton Beach location the most but I've indulged at the Ft. Lauderdale Cypress Creek location, The Hollywood Sheridan Street location and the Davie University Drive location. The great thing about Longhorn is that no matter which location you go to, the food and service are the same. Consistency is why customers come back over and over. I have had almost everything on the menu but I have made a few favorites. I have had the Filet Mignon a lot and I must say that it is a very good value. So is the Renegade Sirloin and the New York Strip. But the last few times I have ordered the Outlaw Ribeye, 18oz, bone in and fire-grilled. If you've read my earlier reviews, you know that I like my steak cooked "Pittsburgh Medium." When someone orders a steak "Pittsburgh," they mean they want the outside of the steak to be seared and charred and the inside to be rare. Sometimes it is referred to as "black and blue." It is accomplished by putting the steak on an extremely hot grill for just a few moments per side. If the grill "flares up" all the better. So when I order "Pittsburgh Medium," I want the charred outside with a pink medium inside. If you try ordering this way make sure that the wait staff understands that you are not ordering "blackened," which is a Cajun specialty made by pan frying with loads of special herbs, spices and peppers. This time we were three and I had a coupon for a free starter and ordered the "not on the menu" stuffed mushrooms. The five large mushroom caps were stuffed with a melted cheesy breadcrumb mix and they were superb. We followed with three Caesar salads. One of us ordered the Grilled Chicken & Stuffed Portabella, tender grilled chicken breast topped with mushroom sauce and a cheese stuffed portabella mushroom and she really enjoyed it. Josh and I ordered the Renegade Sirloin. 8oz. for him and 12oz. for me. Both with a baked potato and I added a side of their delicious button mushrooms. He ordered his medium rare and I ordered my regular "Pittsburgh" medium. When they arrived his was "Pittsburghed" and mine was medium rare. We told the person who delivered them (not the original waitperson,) but it must not have been important because no one came back to the table. Josh had already tapped into his and seemed happy with my choice so I thought I would just make the best of it and cut right in and started eating. About halfway thru the waitress came by to see if there was a problem. I explained and she had the manager come by. He apologized for the mixup and attempted to remedy the situation in everyway possible. I really wasn't upset aand enjoyed the steak I was eating and for my trouble he gave me a $25.00 gift certificate for my next visit. Three days later I returned with Michelle, Ilona, and Steve. I had another starter coupon and ordered the stuffed mushrooms again. Michelle and Ilona had the Grilled Chicken with Portabella as above. Steve and I went for the Outlaw Ribeye and Steve agreed to try his steak my way, "Pittsburgh" medium. And he loved it! Everything was delicious. The service was great. I'll be back to Longhorn again soon! If you happen to go by the Boynton Beach location tell them you read about it here.
